Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam her mother is an ex-backup singer at Philadelphia International Records. When she was 5 years young, her father got an appointment as the curator at Philadelphia's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the historic landmark. In 2005, a Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts student She is an instructor in the field of vocal music. Sullivan performed as the contralto for the choir of children, then after a couple of years later, she performed in the adults ' choir. Sullivan did not get exposed to secular music initially. "I began singing in solos in church, and somebody was urging me to sign up to a gospel record when I was eleven. But I wasn't ready to take that step," she says. She recorded an entire album, but it was never released. Sullivan was ultimately dropped from the label. Missy Elliott was the producer for several tracks on the album she released as her first. For instance "Backstabbers" was a viral track produced by Timbaland composed by Elliott.
